I have been following you ever since I started my own blog ie from 2013 and I can truly feel what you have shared. We used to be "cool" at that time but now the industry has completely changed. In India, it has actually become parallel to the cutthroat modelling industry where you need more money than talent to thrive. Even I have stopped going to events because of the "new age influencers". Sometimes I feel Tik tok has destroyed this space. Now you can't sit behind the computer and type, you need a full face of make up and a fabulous home to be successful.I find it challenging to gel with these new people. I am an ambivert too but somehow I feel drained after attending such fabulous yet superficial events. I miss my blogging tribe; most of whom have left this industry when blogging became creating reels and not writing.
Helena, you are the best and the coolest, and probably the only influencer I still take seriously in the space. I’ve been following for almost a decade!! It’s definitely changed, but it’s nice to see you talk about this.
