Weekend Notes: 7.19.26
Summer thoughts, the internet's latest rabbit holes, and things worth sharing.

We’re smack in the middle of summer, and I’m trying to hold on to it before it’s gone. I’m not entirely sure what that looks like, but I have the hardest time slowing down, appreciating the little things, and convincing myself that I don’t need to be traveling somewhere fabulous to make the most of the season.
Keith (my husband) is so much better at this. He’s always asking me, “Can’t we just be?” I’m trying to learn from him, but it doesn’t come naturally. Like so many things, it’s a work in progress.
Reading & Watching
I’m currently watching The Five-Star Weekend and really enjoying it. I read the book earlier this year, and in my humble opinion, the show is staying pretty true to the story so far.
I also just finished Dolly All the Time, my first book by Annabel Monaghan, and loved it so much that I immediately ordered her other popular novel, Nora Goes Off Script.
Links & Things:
Apparently, the girls are wearing French pedicures with their flip-flops. Personally, I’ve never been into French pedicures, but I certainly like to be in the loop on these sorts of things. As always, you do you!
Have you heard of the “Chair Theory?” Apparently, it can help you find your people and determine where you fit.
Guess what song Avril Levigne performed at Taylor Swift’s wedding?
I love a good archive throwback: Step inside Ralph Lauren’s House in New York.
JAY-Z broke the all-time concert attendance record at Yankee Stadium last weekend.
Have you seen those giant soccer balls around New York?! Here’s where they came from.
Heated Rivalry’s Hudson Williams flips out on an aggressive Paparazzi in Paris. The comments are quite heated about how he handled it. Call me crazy, but if I got followed by a paparazzi to my place of residence, my reaction wouldn’t be far off.
Eyeing, Buying & Things Worth Noting

This is the best makeup finishing spray that I’ve personally tried. Granted, I haven’t tried a ton, but I do know that my skin loves this one. It keeps the makeup lasting, and gives the glowiest complexion. It’s especially great if you have dry, combo or mature skin.
I’ve perused all of Shopbop and meticulously updated all of my favorites. On that list: this Liffner Clutch (that comes in several delicious colors), these playful Larroude sandals, and this Elizabeth Cole necklace.
The Nordstrom sale doesn’t do much for me when it comes to clothing, but there are definitely some gems in the beauty department. The three things I’m getting: a large 7 oz. tub of the Elemis cleansing balm, RŌZ Shampoo and Conditioner (love having this duo in my shower), and a trio of my favorite deodorant. Oh, and also in my cart: many pairs of the most comfortable thongs that I’ve ever tried on.
I compiled my recent picks from Zara.
Nour Hammour is having their big seasonal sale. This one is haunting me.
The skirt I’m wearing in the above photo comes in multiple colors.
I think about this perfectly slouchy black tote quite often. When I think about what’s missing from my closet, there isn’t much (if I’m being honest), but a large black tote is at the top of the list. The criteria: slouchy, buttery leather, comfortably fits everything, including a laptop. I don’t want anything that’s stiff or too serious, and I don’t necessarily want a zipper on top. If anyone has any alternative suggestions, I’m open to them.
While we’re still on the topic of handbags, there’s this beauty. These days, I’m not interested in logos, but I do love the iconic red and green.

I’m with you on the Nsale. Only beauty products for me - replenishing my faves. I hope you saw the Allies of Skin serum! It’s a two-pack - a good deal for sure!
You're always reading such interesting things!
