Weekend Notes: 2.9.25
A vintage flea market score, a movie for the family, new eye shadow palettes and my favorite things from the week.
Happy Super Bowl Sunday! How's your weekend going? Yesterday, the family and I saw a preview of Paddington in Peru. We laughed and cried (but I also just cried from a Huggies commercial), and we all enjoyed it so much. Such a great movie for the entire family!
After the movie, we drove a few blocks and popped by The Chelsea Flea Market, where I scored the vintage coat (with the inside embroidered with "Sherri L. Cugno”) that I'm wearing below. I spotted it the moment we walked in but ended up leaving without it. Fifteen minutes later, I knew it would be something I'd end up regretting, and went back to secure the deal. It's so hard to make a decision with someone holding a mirror for you, but I asked Keith to take a video, and after rewatching it, I knew I had to go back.

Later today, we have a combo of a Super Bowl party and a 40th birthday celebration that I’m quite excited about. Give me friends, food, commercials, and a great Super Bowl halftime show, and I'm 100% dialed in. I'm personally a fan and excited for Kendrick Lamar, but curious to see how he translates into such a mega event. TBD!
While we're on the topic of music, have you guys heard the new Bruno Mars song?! Um. excuse me, what?! What happened to the Bruno Mars that we all know? I guess he's trying to change his image from being the artist that's played at every single wedding.
Here are some of my favorite links & things from the past week:
Victoria Beckham has launched the most stunning eye shadow palettes. I played around with them at their preview this week, and they have the most beautiful pigment and texture.
I attended a few NYFW events this past week, and I agree with W: the East-West bag was everywhere, and I found myself wondering, "Do I need one?" I saw many sporting the current it bag from ALAÏA.
On a similar note, OSOI is a brand to watch and they have a gorgeous East-West bag option in various colors that are under $400. I've also been eyeing this one from Freja.
Ring Concierge is having an up-to 30% off sale. I've rounded up a lot of the pieces I own and love.
A cottage cheese taste-test. My all-time favorite was ranked supreme and deservingly so!
Such a great top handle bag for under $100.
Bazaar deems these the 38 best hair products of 2025.
I love the large buckle of this chocolate brown suede belt from Aureum (code HELENA20 for 20% off)
These are the restaurants that are on Michelin Guide's radar for 2025.
I've updated all of my Shopbop favorites.
I loved this article on 24 Ways to Supercharge your Friendships.
I’m keeping it a bit shorter today. Whatever your plans are for later, I hope you are able to squeeze in some fun.
Just a heads up about Ring Concierge. I ordered their lab grown diamond studs, which they said would be F Color quality. Something seemed off so I had an independent GIA gemologist do an appraisal. Turns out they were I-J Color, not F, and appraised around $900 less than the RC price of $2,319. Trust has been broken--RC also sent me their generic appraisal which turned out to be false.
I saw a picture of a ‘knife bag’ - the bags that chefs legit use to store and schlep. The original east-west. My handyman uses one for tools. I think he got it at Home Depot. 😉.
