The Weekend Five
Including the best black socks, eyeliner, vodka sauce, portable charger and schlepping tote.
Let’s jump right into five things that I’ve been continuously buzzing about:
The Best (6 pack of) Black Socks
Who would have thought that something as simple as a pair of socks would make this list? However, these deserve a moment. Since last year, they’ve been a key player in my fall and winter wardrobe. They’re thin, but not too thin. The length is ideal to wear with most pairs of boots. They come in a handy 6-pack (which I have three packs of), and you really cannot ask for more considering the $15 per pack price tag.
Victoria Beckham Satin Kajal Liners
Probably the best pencil liner that I’ve ever tried. The formula is so silky, the colors are rich and pigmented, and it applies and lasts like a dream. It works beautifully in the water line or on the lid. Victoria Beckham is currently offering 20% off three beauty products or more, and I’m treating myself to three pencils in sequin green, smoky quartz, and cocoa. They also have this gorgeous set that includes all of the pencils. It would make for such a stunning gift!
Carbone Spicy Vodka
Holy moly. Have you guys tried the sauces from Carbone? I’ve only tried the Spicy Vodka pictured above, but Keith and I both agreed it’s one of the best-jarred sauces we have tried, particularly if you’re a fan of spicy (we are). It really felt like a restaurant-quality meal. I’ve been told that all of the Carbone sauces are amazing, and if I’m judging off this one, I cannot wait to try them all. You have to add cream, butter, and voila! An amazing, restaurant-quality meal at home that takes minimal effort.
Hulken Rolling Tote
Their slogan is “schlepping made easy,” and they’re not kidding. I’m a big schlepper, between lugging boxes to the post office, frequent grocery shopping without a car, and bringing miscellaneous things to our studio when we have a project to shoot. These totes have been a godsend in every sense of the way. They’re easy to use and very durable. I own the medium and large, and they both come in handy, but if I were to pick one, I’d go with the larger of the two. These would even be handy for airport travel, especially with little ones in tow.
Portable Charger
I’ve lost count on the amount of times this portable charger has saved me. At airports, on trips, when I’m on-the-go for a majority of the day. It’s become an essential for me.
There you have my five random things! If you have any of your own to share, please do. That's how I often discover many of my favorite things in life.
