Hi!
I mentioned it on Instagram, but this leather jacket has been on my Lust List for months. I kept adding it to my cart, but given the price, I never found myself checking out. When Courtney Grow shared a 15% off code last week (Courtney15), I took it as a sign that I should analyze the jacket in person. This is where we ended, and I have zero regrets. It might be my favorite purchase in a long time.
Side note: in the above photo, my hair is freshly cut and colored. I’ve been going to Giselle at Suite Reyad for painted-on highlights, not to be confused with foils. My fine hair cannot really handle foils, so this is the route I take when I want to be lighter.
The photo below is from before I got it done. Such a difference! Sometimes I prefer a rootier/darker look, but as the weather warms up, I feel cuter when I’m lighter.
This photo was taken in Tribeca, which tends to be one of the windier areas in the city since it’s right near the water. I was trying to shield the wind from my face and hair and ended up with photos that showed my slight discomfort and annoyance.
Wind and hair aside, I wrote about Savette bags (worn above) in this post. It’s been one of my most worn bags in the last six months, and now I’m lusting after this baby.
These (obscenely expensive) jeans were the latest pair I’ve added to my wardrobe. I’ve said it before, but Nili Lotan has become one of my favorite designers for the combination of quality and design. I’ve collected a few of her pieces over the last two years (the jeans, this belt in both colors, and this denim shirt), and I find myself reaching for all of the pieces quite often.
The sold-out COS coat was one of my best buys of 2023, and I’m hoping they bring it back this fall for the sake of the people.
I ordered about seven trenches at varying price points and to the happiness of my wallet, ended up liking this Mango one the most.
I’ve definitely found myself wearing fewer logos, but these Gucci pumps are my exception. They give retro Gucci vibes, and considering the heel height, I find them quite comfortable.
Well, I had to whip my Balenciaga City bag out. I purchased this bag in 2011 and haven’t worn it in over seven years. It needs a lot of TLC, so I’ll be taking it to Rago Brothers in NJ for a bit of love, along with a handful of other things.
If I’m being honest, they don’t make these bags like they used to. I’m seeing the newer models, and they look so stiff compared to the OG bags. However, one can say that about most designer bags when comparing them now versus then. Chanel? Forget it. The difference between vintage and new is a joke.
Going to end it here!
xoxo,
Helena
Love the Gucci heels!
